Anonymous asked: Gay marriage? I’m politically conservative, but that’s because I’m more concerned with financial issues than social issues. Fundamentally, marriage comes down to whether or not two people think they can spend a lifetime together - without the option of divorce. If two men, or two women, can make that commitment, then good for them. Why shouldn’t they be afforded the same rights as anyone else? The real problem with marriage today is that people don’t take it seriously. If only society wasn’t so concerned with gay marriage, and more focused on the construct of marriage in general… |
